Studentis Group - Acquires Student.be
The online community company Studentis Group confirms that it has acquired 100% of SA PackTime in Brussels. Packtime is the company behind Belgium's leading student website www.Student.be.
Studentis Group was established on July 1, 2006 and has since then increased its member base from 25,000 to over 975,000 members.
"Our ambition is to be on the frontline of the continuously rapid expanding community and social networking industry. This will be achieved through acquisitions of traffic, content, technology, geographic reach and key individuals", says Andreas Swahn, founder and CEO of Studentis Group.
Through the acquisition of www.Student.be and PackTime's Student Welcome Packs Studentis get a spring board into Belgium for further expansion in Europe. Student.be is the leading Belgian portal for university students and complement Studentis leading position in Sweden which is held through www.Student.se. The acquisition gives Studentis enhanced web traffic, return on investment and adds key figures from a strong local directors board. On the board of PackTime is, among others, Baron Jean Peterbroeck who is also a memeber of the board for NYSE Euronext (New York Stock Exchange Euronext).
